Axis Communications, the market leaders in network security and surveillance solutions, have announced the imminent availability of a new network door controller to supplement their already diverse range of access control products.
Named the Axis A1601 Network Door Controller, the new addition to the Axis range is described by the company as being ‘ideally-suited to large, multi-site and advanced installations’. The controller can, after all, manage a large number of doors and quickly process up to 70,000 credentials.
The new controller is based on open standards, making it capable of integrating with other hardware and software. Along with their existing A1001 Network Door Controller, then, Axis claim that this new model ‘completes a comprehensive access control solution for organizations [sic] of any scale’.
The Axis A1601 Network Door Controller is a smart, independent device which is built around a powerful processor and that can be installed by each individual door. It is optimised for the processing of large databases of user credentials, features high power output, more storage and greater memory than its sister product, the AXIS A1001.
Set to be widely available by the end of the month, the Axis A1601 Network Door Controller is a product which has excited Axis global product manager, Pia Hantoft:
‘AXIS A1601 is the most advanced and feature-rich network door controller in the Axis portfolio, and expands our offering for organisations of all sizes. The flexibility of AXIS A1601 allows easy integration with additional hardware and software from partners which makes it ideal for organisations in numerous sectors, from business to education to retail.’
