Control 4, a world leading and innovative provider of home automation solutions, have in the past week unveiled a certified showroom scheme encompassing fully 140 different certified dealer showrooms.
The 140 different showroom locations are spread across 25 separate countries in six separate major markets, and include locations in the UK, USA, Canada, China and Australia.
A culmination of more than a year’s planning, the idea behind the showrooms is to bridge the gap between home automation technology and consumers, by allowing those consumers to experience the technology first hand.
Each showroom, therefore, is designed to showcase and exemplify real-life benefits of living in an automated, personalised Control4 smart home, through technologies including multi-room audio and video, smart lighting, security, home networking and voice control, according to the company’s announcement.
Control 4 are not the first company within the home automation field to adopt the idea of certified showrooms but have certainly taken it to the next level when it comes to scale. Their 140 locations are expected to multiply in the next few months and years, and having so many different locations gives the programme far greater accessibility than similar schemes from other firms.
Speaking about the new certified showrooms Control 4’s senior director of product marketing, Brad Hintze, explained the main motivation which has driven the scheme:
‘The primary driver for us, after doing this for 15 years and having a large dealer channel, is that we know the most successful way to really get consumers to really understand a smart home is through lifestyle experiences.’
