In the past few weeks Crestron, a world leading manufacturer of smart control, automation and enterprise solutions, have announced new partnerships with cloud based content management platform Appspace and cloud-based meeting tools and analytics specialists Teem.
The two related partnerships, therefore, are aimed at widening and improving the range of enterprise and meeting room solutions already on offer from Crestron.
Thanks to the new strategic partnership with Appspace Inc. a number of different Crestron devices can now be used with the Appspace platform for digital signs, meeting space management, corporate TV, kiosks and more.
The first devices to enable that Appspace functionality will be the Crestron Mercury in-room conference system, TSW touch screens and Crestron FreeForm, and general availability for all devices is expected by early April 2018.
Crestron’s new partnership with Teem, meanwhile, is described as ‘bringing the Teem Workplace Experience Platform’s consumer-like user interfaces to Crestron’s robust and trusted hardware ecosystem’.
In practice that means that Teem meeting room booking software will be preinstalled on Crestron audio-visual hardware solutions and that integration between the software and Crestron’s connected motion sensors will allow users to automate room check-in, occupancy-based booking, huddle space occupancy detection, and more.
Robert Bavolacco, Manager of Partnerships at Crestron, explained the motivation behind the company’s new partnership with Teem:
‘This partnership brings Teem’s suite of tools to Crestron’s AV hardware, enhancing both solutions to improve and streamline overall collaboration at work. Users of the joint solution can experience a robust and elegant room booking experience…All while leveraging the amazing AV capabilities of Crestron control systems.’
