Crestron, a world leading innovator and manufacturer in the fields of enterprise control and home automation, have in the past few days announced that they are enhancing their Pyng Luxury Home Automation platform to now include support for third party audio visual devices.
The company’s announcement also revealed that the enhancement of the Pyng Luxury Home Automation platform will see Crestron once again partnering with leading tech company LG Electronics.
It is LG Electronics’ 2017 and 2018-series consumer OLED, SUPER UHD and UHD TVs which will be the first displays for which Crestron will provide IP control via their Pyng Luxury Home Automation platform. Being that IP control, too, it is expected that Pyng Video support will also be rolled out at some point during summer 2018.
Speaking in light of the announcement, Crestron’s partnerships manager, Bob Bavolacco, explained the choice of LG as a partner and was ebullient about the potential of adding support for third party AV devices to the Pyng Luxury Home Automation platform:
‘Choosing LG as a launch partner for this enhancement was a no-brainer. LG and Crestron have partnered to provide IP control of their displays for several years with great success in the Enterprise market, and when we were looking to extend that into the residential market, the decision to launch with LG was immediate.’
