Crestron Electronics, a world leading manufacturer of smart control and home automation solutions, have introduced their new Crestron Home powered by OS 3 operating system.
Crestron Home powered by OS 3 was first announced at ISE 2019 last month. It is the next generation of what was the company’s Pyng OS 2 system. It is designed to unlock the potential of any Crestron-equipped smart home and is now rolling out.
The system can be used on projects large or small and offers a simpler, smarter user experience on mobile devices and TSW touch screens. It also boasts a raft of new features, including new page designs, dynamic room controls and innovative icons.
Other notable elements of the system comprise support for multiple homes, easy creation and editing of scenes and new icons for intuitive custom access and experience. What’s more refined layout offers easy access to the most commonly used functions.
Set up and deployment of OS 3 takes a fraction of the time of existing systems without the need for any programming, according to Crestron. That’s one of the key benefits as explained by Crestron’s global residential marketing manager, Michael Short:
‘OS 2 delivered the foundation; OS 3 perfects the experience. It’s completely redesigned; simple, clean, and sophisticated. Add in remarkably fast deployment of any sized project, and top it off with the best hardware in the business. Why use anything else?’
