Denon, a world leading producer of top class audio solutions, has in the past few days announced the launch of their new AVC-X8500H AV Amplifier. According to the company, the AVC-X8500H is the world’s first 13.2 channel AV amplifier and also packs in a whole host of further features.
The new AVC-X8500H AV amplifier supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro-3D. Dolby Atmos helps to power an immersive, multi-dimensional listening experience and means that the new amplifier can be twinned with six other speakers to produce a 7.1.6 or 9.1.4 surround sound speaker system.
DTS:X coding helps to deliver a lifelike, three-dimensional audio experience, by placing sound where it naturally occurs in space. It also comes with DTS Neural:X; a format that provides improved height realism and gives movies, games and music a lifelike authenticity unmatched by traditional 5.1 surround sound.
Auro-3D, meanwhile, provides an immersive surround sound experience in addition to traditional channels supporting up to a 13.1 or 13.2 configuration and will be enabled via a future firmware update.
On top of support for those three object-based audio formats, the AVC-X8500H also supports the latest in picture quality to provide a truly remarkable auditory and visual experience. It is Dolby Vision compatible and supports 4K/60 Hz full-rate pass-through, 4:4:4 colour resolution, HDR and BT.2020.
Wireless listening is also possible thanks to the amplifier’s ability to stream music via Bluetooth and Wi Fi. Built in HEOS technology, what’s more, means that you can enjoy your favourite tracks in any room of your home wirelessly.
