Extron Electronics, a world leading provider of audio visual solutions, have recently announced the immediately availability of their new GlobalViewer Enterprise 2.8 AV resource management software.
According to the company’s announcement, the new software is the industry’s most comprehensive and includes many features that help manage systems across any enterprise more efficiently. Perhaps most notably, the new software adds support for Extron’s SMP Series streaming media products and TLS – TouchLink Scheduling panels.
That means users can easily access the web interface for an SMP and monitor its remaining recording time. What’s more, they can also track the calendar connection status for TLS panels and monitor a range of other statuses and offline time for these newly supported products.
The main aim of the GVE software, as per Extron themselves, is to simplify AV system resource management with intuitive control for hundreds of common AV tasks. It provides a powerful, flexible way to manage, monitor, and control nearly any device over a standard network that can extend from five to 5000 rooms.
In light of the availability announcement, Extron vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, Casey Hall, further explained the software’s possibly benefits:
‘GlobalViewer Enterprise helps technicians automate tasks and provide help desk personnel with powerful AV monitoring and reporting tools in thousands of rooms, worldwide…This latest version of GVE adds support for our SMP streaming line and TLS panels, enhanced monitoring, and other features designed to save valuable time and streamline helpdesk tasks.’
