Extron Electronics, a world leading manufacturer of audio visual solutions, have announced the introduction of a new line of power amplifiers.
Named the Extron XPA Ultra range, the new amplifiers represent an engineering breakthrough that provides the ability to put more amplifier channels in a smaller space, with less radiated heat, than ever before, according to Extron’s announcement.
All amplifiers within the new XPA Ultra range run cooler than other Class D amplifiers, extending component life and eliminating the need for ventilation rack space. What’s more, Extron’s new line of amps also all include a new and improved ultra fast wake up from standby to ensure the beginning of audio is not cut off.
Delivering 35 watts or 100 watts per channel into 8 and 4 ohms or 70 volt systems, the new Extron XPA Ultra amplifiers are packed full of additional features, too. Those include an Everlast power supply, professional grade signal-to-noise ratio, ultra low inrush current, and Extron’s patented CDRS – Class D Ripple Suppression.
It’s little surprise, then, that Extron vice president of global sales and marketing, Casey Hall, spoke excitedly about the new Extron XPA Ultra range:
‘Extron pioneered the use of Class D amplifiers in AV applications and our engineers have continuously been developing unique, patented, high performance power amplifier technologies…The flexibility and performance provided by the XPA Ultra line of power amplifiers ensure our amplifiers continue to be leading solutions for the AV industry.’
