In the past week Extron, a world leading manufacturer and provider of audio visual solutions, have announced the introduction of their new ShareLink Pro 1000 Wireless and Wired Collaboration Gateway.
Described by the company as its most intelligent wireless and wired collaboration gateway yet, the ShareLink Pro 1000 enables anyone to present content from their computers, tablets, or smartphones onto a display for easy collaboration.
The new ShareLink Pro 1000 supports simultaneous display of up to four devices including an HDMI-connected device, and dynamically updates the display layout as new content is shared or removed. That HDMI input allows the new gateway to support wired connections from any connected source.
In order to facilitate both open and restrictive environments, the new collaboration gateway has various different collaboration and moderator modes. When used with Extron GVE – GlobalViewer Enterprise software, what’s more, multiple units can be managed across an enterprise or campus.
Speaking in light of the introduction of the ShareLink Pro 1000, Extron’s vice president of global sales and marketing, Casey Hall, explained the motivations behind creating the new collaboration gateway:
‘The growing popularity of collaborative environments has led to the need for greater flexibility in how users share content…ShareLink Pro 1000 was created so that users can collaborate using most any device, and simultaneously share wired and wireless content on the same screen at the same time, creating even more collaborative environments.’
