Extron Now Shipping Two New 4K Twisted Pair Extension Products for XTP Systems

Audio visual solution specialists, Extron Electronics, have this week announced that they are now shipping two additional new 4K Twisted Pair Extensions products for XTP Systems. Named the XTP T USW 103 4K and the XTP T HWP 101 4K, the two new solutions provide diverse yet equally beneficial services to users.

The XTP T USW 103 4K is a three input switcher which is ideal for use beneath tables and within lecterns. The XTP T HWP 101 4K, meanwhile, is a transmitter which Extron claim ‘provides discreet and elegant options for wall mount applications’.

Each of the newly shipping 4K Twisted Pair Extension solutions are slated as being HDCP 2.2 compliant, and the company’s announcement of the new products trumpets their ability to enable extension of 4K video up to 330 feet (100 metres) over one, shielded CATx cable.

The two new models are now available in addition to Extron’s existing XTP 4K Twisted Pair products and enhance end user’s options when it comes to bringing 4K resolutions into existing and new XTP Systems. That is at least according to the company’s vice president of sales and marketing Casey Hall:

‘We are excited to offer our customers more XTP 4K switching and transmission options for use in their designs…These new HDCP 2.2 compliant, XTP twisted pair extenders bring added flexibility for integration of end-to-end XTP Systems with the highest level of 4K support.’

As well as that flexibility and support, the new solutions also boast added convenience for signal transmission needs in a variety of environments. The multiple inputs of the XTP T USW 103 4K switcher, for instance, support direct connection of HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, and audio sources. The one‑gang form factor of the XTP T HWP 101 4K, meanwhile, provides the convenience of placing input connections precisely where they are needed.
