Extron Electronics, a global leader in audio visual solutions, have in the past few weeks announced that they are now shipping a new AV system for collaboration spaces. Named the HC 404, Extron describe the new system as ‘an affordable and easy-to-use AV system for collaboration spaces’.
According to the company’s shipping announcement, the HC 404 features built-in control capabilities and integration with occupancy sensors to automate display power and source switching for an intuitive, effortless user experience. Designed for professional integration, the low profile components of the new AV system is able to be discreetly mounted beneath a table or behind a display.
In order to provide an elegant AV system management solution to monitor and support all of your collaboration spaces throughout the enterprise, HC 404 systems connect seamlessly to Extron’s own GlobalViewer Enterprise solution. It’s that which, according to Extron’s vice president of worldwide sales and marketing Casey Hall, makes the HC 404 such a simple and effective solution:

Each HC 404 system features a switching transmitter and a scaling receiver, which work together to extend video, audio, and power up to 230 feet over a single CATx cable for maximum performance and reliability. They also include two HDMI inputs and one VGA input at the transmitter and one HDMI input at the receiver for added utility.
