Extron Electronics, globally renowned market leaders in the field of audio visual technology, have this week announced that they are now shipping three new control processors. Named the IPCP Pro 555, the IPCP Pro 355DR, and the IPCP Pro 255, the new IP Link Pro Control Processors are described as featuring network isolation for added security.
Each of the versatile, high performance processors is also claimed by Extron to incorporate advanced security standards and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, which ensure compatibility with multiple TouchLink Pro touch panels using a standard network infrastructure.
Of those dual Ethernet ports, the AV LAN is described as being designated to control local AV devices, and is secure from outside interference or intrusion. All of the trio of new processors, what’s more, can be used with Extron LinkLicense to further enhance Extron Pro Series control systems, according to the company’s announcement.
Slated as being powerful processors which are an ideal choice for controlling multiple devices and signal types within AV systems requiring an isolated AV network, the new trio of products were enthusiastically talked up by Extron vice president of sales and marketing, Casey Hall:
‘Extron recognizes that network security is a growing concern for our customers…While all of our Pro Series control processors use advanced security protocols to safeguard your data, these new IPCP Pro control processors offer the added benefit of a dedicated AV LAN port that further protects the AV network from intrusion and interference.’
