Extron Electronics, a world leading provider of AV solutions for all types of installations and environments, has this week announced the immediately availability of their new ECM S10 Partition Sensor.
The ECM S10 is a transmitter and receiver partition sensor set for Extron eBUS-enabled control systems and other devices that feature a digital I/O port. The ECM S10 receiver offers a digital output port and a 14 VDC output to provide power to the transmitter.
The set is designed to connect to an IPCP Pro control processor and uses an infrared beam to sense the position of a movable partition wall within divisible rooms.
Whether the partition is in place or has been opened will then dictate certain control system behaviours. All of that ensures that the room’s AV and collaboration solution systems will work as efficiently as possible.
Whilst the ECM S10 itself is small in stature, it can provide big benefits. At least according to Extron’s vice president of global sales and marketing, Casey Hall:
‘The ECM S10 is a great example of how small devices can sometimes be very big news…When used in a divisible room application with eBUS button panels, this discreet, easy-to-install, sensor set can save time and increase efficiency by automating any number of AV system behaviours.’
