World leading manufacturers of audio visual solutions and integration products, Extron Electronics, have in the past week announced the immediate availability of their new IPCP Pro 360 control processor. Described as ‘the industry’s first control processor with AV LAN ports and PoE+’, the IPCP Pro 360 boasts a number of fascinating features.
According to Extron, the high performance control processor includes no fewer than three dedicated AV LAN ports and one standard Ethernet port, as well as providing PoE+ to external devices; eliminating the need for additional power supplies. That’s not the end of the innovation present in the IPCP Pro 360’s design, however.
Each processor, too, features advanced security standards and Gigabit Ethernet ports, which ensure compatibility with multiple TouchLink Pro touchpanels using a standard network infrastructure. The AV LAN ports, too, have been designed by Extron to control local AV devices, and safeguard them from outside intrusion or interference.
In order to further enhance the capabilities of Extron Pro Series control systems, the new IPCP Pro 360 control processor can also be used with Extron LinkLicense. All of that, according to the company’s shipping announcement, makes the IPCP Pro 360 an ideal choice for controlling multiple devices and control signal types within AV systems requiring an isolated AV network.
The company’s vice president of sales and marketing, Casey Hall, goes further and claims that the new processor delivers exactly what Extron customers need:
‘This new IPCP Pro 360 is our first control processor that provides the convenience of PoE+ to external devices… It’s exciting to watch our Pro Series control processors evolve—now combining multiple AV LAN ports with PoE+ output to an already robust control platform, this new IPCP Pro 360 delivers what customers want and the security they need.’
