Kaleidescape, a world renowned manufacturer of video servers and provider of luxury home cinema services, have in the past few days announced a new commercial partnership with the BBC. The new collaboration allows the home cinema company to bring BBC documentaries, dramas and other shows to their service.
The deal with the BBC marks the first time that Kaleidescape has offered episodic content in 4K Ultra HD and high dynamic range (HDR). The added BBC titles expand what is already a deep catalogue offered by Kaleidescape and include globally popular shows such as Blue Planet II, Luther and Sherlock.
Being able to offer such prestigious programming via their luxury home cinema service is obviously a big deal for Kaleidescape, and the comments of CEO and founder, Cheena Srinivasan, reflect that fact:
‘With the recent innovations in video and audio technologies now available for the home, this is the golden age of home cinema…Kaleidescape is delighted to offer these BBC titles to our customers. This is content that matters to our customers – that the whole family can enjoy!’
The newly announced partnership allows Kaleidescape to immediately offer a selection of BBC titles to users all over the world, including in the USA and Canada. Further titles, too, are expected to be added to the selection on a regular basis.
