Lutron, a world leading supplier of smart lighting solutions, have in the past few days debuted a whole host of new products at the Light + Building 2018 trade show in Frankfurt.
The Light + Building show is the world’s leading trade show for lighting and building services technology, and the products debuted by Lutron included their latest version of the Energi Savr Node control module. That control module has been described as the “world’s first” certified DALI-2 lighting control product and has been eagerly anticipated by industry professionals.
The DALI-2 Standard is the next generation of the Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) protocol for controlling lighting, and is managed by the Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA) global consortium of lighting businesses. It is designed to improve interoperability, as well as bring additional functionality (compared with current DALI systems in the market).
Suitable for a wide range of applications, Lutron’s Energi Savr Node control module can be used on its own or as part of the Lutron Quantum total light management system to control everything from a single building to an entire campus. Lutron have also stated that as more certified DALI-2 products come on the market it will be possible to offer a complete certified DALI-2 system covering luminaires, drivers and controls.
At the Light + Building 2018 show, Lutron are also showcasing a selection of other noteworthy lighting solutions. Those include its recently developed Pico four-button RF wireless control for easy scene control; and its tuneable white applications where the colour of light can be changed from warm white to cool.
