Whole home audio specialists, Monitor Audio, have this week announced a new addition to their Climate Garden Speaker Range of outdoor speakers and audio equipment. Named the CLG160, the new addition to the range is features a 6-inch MMPII bass-mid range driver and 25mm Gold C-CAM dome tweeter, co-axially orientated to ensure the audio is directed towards the listening zone.
Now available in addition to the slightly smaller CLG140 within the Climate Garden Speaker Range, the CLG160 can be integrated using a 70/100v line distribution system. According to Monitor Audio, that means users can build a scalable system, able to feature a large number of speakers, connected to a single amplifier. As is true of the existing CLG140, the new larger speaker can also be twinned with the Monitor Audio CLG-W12 subwoofer.
According to Monitor Audio’s technical director, Dean Hartley, the addition of their new speaker fills a very real gap within the company’s Climate Garden Speaker range:
‘More and more homeowners want to enjoy great quality music beyond the home…Our current Climate Garden system range has already helped installers take advantage of this opportunity. But we recognised a gap in the market for a slightly larger model that is capable of providing increased audio coverage in larger gardens.’
Suitable for ground level installation, within the garden and around decking areas, the CLG160 can also be mounted onto a tree, pole or garden fence with its cables able to be kept out of sight by passing through a bracket and ground spike.
