Panasonic, a world renowned technology company and leading manufacturer of home cinema projectors, displays and related solutions, have in the past few days announced two new professional 4K displays.
The pair of new displays represent an expansion to the company’s recently launched range of 4K professional displays. Named the Panasonic SQ1 Range, the TH-98SQ1 and TH-86SQ1 measure 98 inches and 86 inches, respectively
Both display panels in the SQ1 Range support HDR and provide 4K high quality images at 500 cd/m2, ensuring crisp images and stylish digital signage installations. Each of the new displays, too, are capable of both portrait and landscape display including a tilt installation of up to 20 degrees.
Featuring several connectivity and set up options for simple installation, the range also delivers further flexibility in the shape of a new multi-screen output feature.
This allows a single panel to be split into four quadrants, two picture by picture variants or one of four picture in picture effects. In addition, it’s possible to build a large-screen video wall of up to 100 screens in 10 x 10 configuration.
Panasonic describe the displays as being well-suited to environments such as retail, education, museums and corporate. With digital signage applications in mind, the SQ1 has a 4K USB media player which eliminates the need for external playback devices and allows for the remote updating of content.
Speaking about the new 4K displays, Panasonic’s marketing manager Hartmut Kulessa explained what the new solutions can offer to users:
‘The SQ1 series provides a benchmark for 4K displays, providing the high quality images, ease of setup and expandability required for creating impactful signage. The displays provide a flexible and stylish canvas which meets the creative needs of a business whilst being easy to install, and cost effective to run 24/7.’
