As part of an extensive renovation of this luxury five-storey town house, Couture Digital was honoured to be the technology specialists in the property development team. The client was a savvy London property developer recognising that today’s luxury properties needed to be beautiful and functional in order to attract sophisticated buyers. With top of the range lighting, security, and home entertainment, Couture Digital suggested threading all these systems together with a sophisticated yet simple to use Smart Home control system. This would allow maximum functionality whilst keeping all the wall switches and remotes to a minimum, and, all with a uniform look. Smart Home systems are at the core of Couture Digital’s activities the only issue was that the client wanted to market the property in summer and therefore needed to turn this around in weeks rather than months – which would be the norm.
Understandably, sophisticated systems like this take time to design, the architectural features of the home must be closely considered, the systems that require integrating must be intimately understood. Then the highly specialist equipment, not always readily available, needs sourcing. When off-site preparation is complete, the system is then brought on site and meticulously installed and programmed seamlessly into the building.
Was Couture Digital able to deliver? In a matter of weeks an entire Smart Home system and Home Cinema was designed, supplied, installed, programmed and system tested, ready for sign off. Control of the system was via chic, full-colour touch-screens and the three HD flat-screens dotted around the house could access the DVD player and Sky boxes which were conveniently hidden in the basement. Complete 5.1 surround sound provides a thunderous aural experience in the home cinema despite using discrete in-ceiling speakers to avoid disturbing the interior design of the multi-use space.
