RTI Announce New Two-Way Driver for Fusion Research Play-Fi Music Server

Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), a world-leading home automation and control manufacturer, have this week announced the availability of a new two-way driver for use with Fusion Research’s Play-Fi music server. The driver, which was developed by Fusion themselves, allows for the seamless integration of the Play-Fi server into RTI automation systems.

The Play-Fi server is specifically designed as a bridge between third-party amplifiers or speakers and automation systems, and this new driver is aimed at providing more convenient control of whole-home audio for RTI automation system users. Mike Everett, vice president for sales and marketing with RTI in the Americas, elaborated on this when he spoke of this week’s announcement:

‘With the Fusion Play-Fi driver, RTI dealers can integrate the Fusion Server into the RTI control system to simplify access to an amazing set of music sources throughout their clients’ home.’

In practice, the new Fusion Play-Fi two-way driver provides users with an intuitive interface for controlling music in their home, which allows them to browse their music options, cover art and other information on their main RTI controller. The driver, too, gives them the chance to choose where in the home music is played, at what volume it is played and to make other adjustments with the self-same controller.

The new driver is readily available now and according to Joseph Storm, the CEO of Fusion Research, represents ‘another great collaboration with RTI that makes integration simple and fast for the entire Play-Fi open platform system’.
