Leading home automation and smart control manufacturers, RTI, and renowned multi room audio solution producers, Russound, have in the past week announced a new integration to allow their systems and devices to work more closely together.
That integration comes in the form of new two way RTI drivers which the companies have announced are now available. The drivers give integrators and end users the power to add complete control and metadata support for the RTI control system, as well as adding a number of interesting features for the KX2, KX3, and iPad/iPad mini platforms on RTI.
Those features include giving control of zones across multiple controllers, allowing for audio adjustments (such as bass, treble and loudness), and giving access to and allowing management of favourite tracks, albums and artists. Pre-built templates for the RTI KX2 and KX3 keypads, and iPad/iPad Mini are also provided by Russound along with the drivers.
The newly announced RTI drivers are compatible with Russound’s MCA-66, MCA-88 and MCA-88X products as well as their XSource, XZone4 and XZone70V devices. Speaking about the integration, Russound CEO Charlie Porritt explained how it fits with his company’s overall philosophy:
‘We’re staying true to our commitment to make Russound electronics compatible with the biggest names on the block… RTI is one of those control companies, and we’re proud to tell our customers that our top products work in harmony with RTI’s industry-leading controls.’
