Universal Remote Control (URC) Incorporated, a world leading manufacturer of home automation systems and solutions, have recently announced the launch of a new VSSL A.6 two way module for their popular Total Control 2.0 home automation ecosystem.
The freely available module was developed by Australia-based software development firm Chowmain, a certified URC third-party developer, and is itself certified by URC for Total Control. URC’s vice president of product development, Lars Granoe, spoke glowingly about the release of the module:
‘We are excited to add the VSSL two-way module to the Total Control ecosystem. VSSL has created a great product that allows consumers to easily bring their favorite [sic] music into their homes from their smart devices.’
The VSSL module produces unique matrixed amplifiers with embedded streaming technologies built into each zone, allowing for independent streams of Google Cast, Apple Airplay and Spotify Connect. That means that URC Total Control 2.0 users in different rooms can each listen to their own music streamed from iPhones, iPads and Android devices, or initiated by Google Home.
As well as introducing that streaming capability, the amplifiers also provide matrixed analog inputs which can be connected to various sources for distribution around the home, and bus line outputs which can be connected to other amplifiers and receivers.
