The new Total Control 2.0 home automation system from world renowned automation and control specialists, Universal Remote Control (URC) Inc., has recently won four notable industry awards. Launched just a few weeks ago at the CEDIA 2017 trade show in San Diego, it was at that very show that the system took home its four prestigious gongs.
Total Control 2.0 has been described by URC themselves as a comprehensive upgrade to the company’s flagship control and automation system. According to a company announcement at the time of the system’s launch, in fact, Total Control 2.0 was slated as elevating ‘Total Control with a next-generation graphic user interface, amazing customization and quick programming – plus an attractive new tabletop touchscreen controller and in-wall touchscreen keypads’.
The ‘attractive new tabletop touchscreen controller’ in question is URC’s TDC-7100, and that product accounted for one of URC’s four overall awards, in the shape of the 2017 Technology Integrator EXC!TE Award. The other three awards, meanwhile, were given to the Total Control 2.0 system itself and comprised the 2017 CE Pro BEST Whole-Home Automation System award, the Residential Systems CEDIA 2017 Best of Show award and the TWICE CEDIA 2017 Best of Show award.
Speaking about the four notable titles given to the company, URC’s senior vice president and general manager Doug Cole explained the pleasure the organisation took in being recognised:
‘It is very rewarding to see that Total Control 2.0 and the TDC-7100 have been so well received by end users, dealers and the CE community alike…Everyone has been particularly impressed by the new custom onscreen graphics and the premium, next-generation user interfaces.’
